Regardless of fitness, age or health level – the Aero-Step® from TOGU offers the perfect training device for every level. Now the Bavarian family business has launched a new addition to the Aero-Step® family: the Aero-Step® free. The main difference to the other models is that the two previously fixed air chambers are not connected by a plate. Both halves can be placed on the floor independently of each other, thus offering significantly more application options and enabling a variety of exercises on both legs or in a single-leg stance as well as in a prone, side or supine position. In addition to optimizing balance and reaction time, it also trains strength and joint stability and provides valuable sensomotor stimulation.

The short exercise programs, developed by sports scientists and doctors, can be easily integrated into everyday life.
The new Aero-Step® free for versatile and flexible use
The TOGU Aero-Step® free offers the opportunity to make progress through sensorimotor training – regardless of how old or trained a person is. Athletic, health or rehabilitation programs can be carried out on the flexible surface provided by the training tool. Depending on the exercise selection and environment, the focus of a session can be easily shifted and the level adjusted. For example, an exercise such as the squat can be made significantly more complex with additional weight and the focus can be placed not only on leg axis and core stability but also on building up the muscles in the lower body. Thanks to its small size and independently usable air chambers, the device can also be used in everyday life. Standing on the Aero-Step® free while brushing your teeth or at your desk in the office can have positive adaptations in coordination or stability for the whole body without putting additional strain on the joints. The Aero-Step® free can be used on both sides. One side is smooth and on the other side Senso® nubs provide a pleasant massage effect.
Background to sensorimotor training with the Aero-Step® products from TOGU
The intervention concept behind the Aero-Step® is based on two principles. On the one hand, the perception of stimuli from the environment entering the body and, on the other, the processing and transmission of stimuli in order to activate the muscles. If the body is placed on a moving surface such as the Aero-Step® free, corresponding muscle activation is required in various areas of the body in order to maintain stability: You need the muscles in the torso, the invisible deep muscles – consisting of part of the deep abdominal muscles – the intervertebral muscles in the spine and the diaphragm as well as the pelvic floor. It is not without reason that physiotherapists use TOGU products in rehabilitation programs to promote the perception of stimuli and, in the further course, to regain and strengthen movement sequences. To provide the perfect stimulus, a flexible surface is ideal for training that is easy on the joints. The versatile application possibilities of the Aero-Step® free in deep muscle training offer a location-independent training option, for example to solve everyday back problems or to independently carry out an age-appropriate exercise program to maintain general well-being.
