Between September 26 and October 3, the CHAMPION OF THE YEAR 2013 was selected as part of a week-long event at ROBINSON Club Apulia in Italy. Gerd Schönfelder, the previous year’s CHAMPION handed over the reigns to the new champion at a gala event. The successful ski racer uses the Jumper Pro by TOGU, which was made available to participants of the event, as part of his training regime.
The Paralympian Gerd Schönfelder has won numerous ski gold medals at the Paralympics and world championships between 1992 and 2011.
In recognition of his outstanding achievements, this exceptional athlete was voted CHAMPION OF THE YEAR 2012 at ROBINSON Club Kalimera Kriti on the island of Crete. As a gold medallist in the disciplines downhill, Super-G, and giant slalom, Schönfelder recommends Jumper Pro by TOGU as an indispensable training tool – especially now, during the lead-up to the coming ski season: “The TOGU Jumper is extremely versatile, extraordinarily effective, and a lot of fun to use. It is simply perfect for anyone preparing for the slopes: Ski athletes must be prepared for changing slope conditions and uneven surfaces at any time, and Jumper is a great tool to help train responsiveness. I also use it to train strength, coordination, and endurance.” Schönfelder’s personal recommendation for ski athletes:
“Jump yourself fit with the TOGU Jumper!”
TOGU Jumper Pro – Now even more versatile, reversible, and back-friendly
When using the Jumper® Pro by TOGU, the impact of the jump is absorbed by the user, just like a trampoline effect. It adds fun to your preparatory training for the slopes and offers many other fitness objectives. It trains balance, facilitates strength and endurance training, promotes coordination, and is absolutely safe to use. Jumper bears the AGR quality seal awarded by Aktion Gesunder Rücken e.V. – an organisation promoting healthy posture for a healthy back – further underlining the beneficial effect of the tool on the back and general health. As of this year, the popular TOGU Jumper is joined by a second, more advanced model, the TOGU Jumper Pro, offering even more training diversity. An optional floor plate makes both sides of the Jumper Pro available for training. The new, removable floor plate creates a flat surface on the reverse of the Jumper. The plate is easily attached or removed with a simple screw connection (included in the scope of delivery).
The plate allows a physiologically correct placement of the soles of the feet on both sides of Jumper Pro for balance, coordination, endurance, and strength training exercises.
CHAMPION OF THE YEAR
The TOGU Jumper Pro was made available as a training tool for the participants at the CHAMPION OF THE YEAR event. Gerd Schönfelder as well as the initiators and the organisers of the event, the management of
Robinson Club GmbH, endorse and recommend the Jumper. The event was held for the first time in 2000. Since then, a total of twelve German top athletes have worn the crown. The first round of the event entails online voting, in which five athletes are selected as finalists for CHAMPION OF THE YEAR by other athletes who receive funding from German Sport Aid (Deutsche Sporthilfe e.V.). As a highlight of the week-long event, the five nominees then face a final round of votes for the CHAMPION OF THE YEAR. This year’s event will be held at ROBINSON Club Apulia in Southern Italy between September 26 and October 3.
